By the time the concrete floor got damaged, it was either misshapen or cracked. It may be due to the accumulation of dirty mud under the concrete floor that saturated the soil beneath, hence reducing the strength and support of the concrete floors. There are many advanced and modern technologies in uplifting the concrete floors, five of which I will explain here.
1.Poly Jacking
Many companies offer this concrete lifting service. It refers to the poly jacking technique as low budget, less messy, and minimally time-consuming. The method requires a simple Polyurethane machine, a drill machine, and a quick technique to inject it.
In this procedure, the experts just clear the affected area a little and add a tapered bowl to the concrete subfloors, then drill a tiny hole and connect the polyurethane machine gun to the pinpoint. It takes only a few seconds for polyurethane to expand and harden into a foam, thus uplifting the concrete floor. As simple as that, it fills all the voids and hollow spaces underneath the concrete floor. There are no muds to uplift and no waiting for floor settings.
2.Mud jacking or Pressure Grouting
As its name shows, mud jacking or pressure grouting is the method of injecting the material into the concrete floor with pressure. Holes are created in the concrete floor, and a dense, finely crushed limestone aggregate (frequently combined with Portland cement) is mixed with water in a slurry consistency and forced into the holes. The pressure created down the floor spreads the foam material throughout and uplifts the floor. After some time, the holes are filled, or mud jacked, and the process is complete. Wait for a few hours and let the floor set.
3.Through Symmetrically Marked Holes
This technology is very similar to the above two. First, recognize the point of damage and the place from where the floor has started to misshapen and uneven. Mark it. Then locate the point or position where it’s going to set in its original position. Throughout the way, placemarks starting from the very first, with a pause of 6 inches. This will look like a ruler, then proceed the material uplifting the floor through holes and spray foam will instantly uplift the floor. The process is not complete here. The need of the time is to properly and neatly patch all the pieces created. Final and finishing touches improve the look of the new and balanced concrete floor.
3.Remove, Compact, and Replace
All the floors can’t always be leveled without removing. This time the demand is to remove the existing and damaged one and replace, settle the saturation of the soil beneath and increase its compacting and set the concrete floor.
4. Top Pour Method
It is a temporary remedy for the open or unlevel concrete floor because one might not question the reason behind the broken concrete floor. As its name indicates, it’s the process of pouring the material over a 3 inches sunken concrete floor. A form formed above the old one. It’s not recommendable in most cases, however.
