The Future of The Smartphone Industry

Covid-19 takes many things from us. It shapes the way of our lives. The pandemic shows us the importance of smartphones and how we are used to them. Today, we will discuss the post-pandemic smartphone industry in short.

The number of smartphone cameras is increasing day by day. Companies like Samsung, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Oppo, etc., are on a number game. It feels good to be an owner of a phone which has four or five cameras. However, only one or two cameras are helpful in daily life; the rest are just for advertisement purposes. If we look closely, we see 2MP macro cameras that cannot capture good photos. If we capture images using the primary camera and then crop it to macro size, we get comparatively better images than the 2MP macro camera.

Moreover, we see several companies try to improve their camera sector by collaborating with camera manufacturers. We see OnePlus’s partnership with Hasselblad, Huawei’s collab with Leica, Sony’s partnership with Zeiss, and so on. There are rumors that Samsung will collaborate with Olympus, Infinix with Sony, and Xiaomi with Nikon or Canon. If these collaborations go well, we can hope to have an actual camera-centric phone in our palms.

Box without chargers is the new normal now. When Apple launched their iPhone 12 lineups without providing any charger in the boxes, everybody criticized them. Later, other manufacturers follow this trend, and it becomes normal. Apple claimed that they did not provide chargers in the boxes to reduce wastes. However, a box without a charger means more efficient shipping at a lower price. It will be beneficial to the companies only unless they decrease the cost of the device.

On the contrary, uses have to buy an additional charger if they do not have one already. It is another formula of business. Similarly, some companies offer superfast charging technologies that require fixed chargers to enjoy the full potential. If you do not use the compatible chargers, it may cause fire, and you will need a photoelectric smoke detector. Either way, the company will be benefitted.

We have seen several folding phones in recent years. There was a time when they were just concepts, and now they are available in the market. Many people predicted that folding phones would be a flop in regular life. However, the present scenario is different, and the consumers welcome foldings phones. The prime concern was to make folding phones durable, and the manufacturers are trying their best to make them hardy and long-lasting. Folding phones like Samsung Galaxy Z Flip or Moto Razr 5G are practical and can be used as a daily driver.

Apart from the configurations, the price of these phones is pretty high. If they can minimize their cost, these phones will be popular in the coming days.

Finally, the smartphone industry is going through heavy innovations now. The current trendy feature may lose its glaze within six months. So, if you want to buy a smartphone, always look for the core features which will serve you regularly.
