It seems that no matter how big a home and bank account, or how many fans they have, celebs are not immune to the effects of mental illness. Demi Lovato – bipolar disorder

Music performer and mental health advocate for the Be Vocal: Speak Up for Mental Health campaign, Demi Lovato actively talks about her past illnesses and how she’s coped with them. It’s estimated that 2.6% of Americans live with bipolar disorder. It was only later in life when she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, she’s since learnt to understand and control her emotions that dominated her younger days and has given honest accounts of her recovery to help others.

Darrell Hammond – schizophrenia

He blames much of the difficulty dealing with these issues on not having a decent diagnosis and treatment plan for his condition.
