Best Foods In Downtown Austin

Austin, a vibrant city, famous for its amazing live music presence and variety of food scenes. This capital city of Texas is one of the most growing metros in the USA and a lot more people move here from different places of the country every day.

Especially, the city downtown area is blessed by the south’s special barbecue, coffees, tacos, cool nightlife and many more.

Where should stay?

Saint Cecilia is one of the greatest hotels in this area for staying from where you can enjoy everything circling you within walk distance. If you are planning to settle here then certainly you can look after the Downtown Austin apartments for rent which are a bit expensive than the country’s some other major cities but still below the country’s average.

Best cup of coffee?

My personal first choice is Briggo where you will get a warm and cozy ambiance with one of the best coffees in Texas. Briggo is a coffee chain that is owned by UK’s coffee chain- Costa Coffee. Another notable coffee shop you can check out is The Patika trailer.

Best Breakfast?

Downtown’s one of the famous breakfast spots is Paperboy which is within walking distance from Saint Cecilia. One of their special features is you will get a copy of the morning newspaper every time in every order. Don’t forget to taste their sweet potato hash, which seems best to me so far.

Tacodeli, the local vendor of super-quality south-style tacos that you shouldn’t miss in the morning.

Best market to eat?

The farmers’ market is a weekly local market located at Republic Square every Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm where Dai Due, the famous butcher shop started. Another notable place is HOPE Farmers’ Market held on Plaza Saltillo.

Hottest dinner spot?

No complaint about Olamaie and Dai Due, two of the hottest dinner spots having the best Austin foods admitted by all.

For Pizza

Have you heard the Via 313? The most popular pizza in the city is going to open a restaurant soon. They make rectangle-shaped Detroit-style pizza which is delicious and a super dish for sure. Two of my other recommendations are Cadillac and Turf n Surf. The fish tacos and fish po’boys of Turf n Surf won my heart. I never found such fresh fish each time anywhere.

For Sushi

Komé, Uchi and Uchiko, three of the favorite places for Sushi in Downtown Austin. Komé will astonish you by charging half of the price than the rest two providing you a better taste.

Classic Old-School Style Dine

Hiring the chef from Uchiko, Texas French Bread is one of the most popular here for several reasons. They maintained the baking quality for years after year and collect the ingredients from local fresh market. The collection of their wine is also remarkable.

Best barbecue?

Texas and barbecue, yes, they are almost synonyms. Obviously, I am recommending Franklin as a front leader of BBQ. But, if you don’t have time to stand in a long queue and would like to get this after 2 PM then take a look on Stiles Switch. Even, you can get them for dinner as they opened till 9 PM.
