INTRODUCTION AND EARLY LIFE:
Josephine Skriver Karlsen is a Danish model who is well-known for her work with Victoria’s Secret. Born on 14 April 1993; she was raised in Copenhagen, Denmark. As far as her parents are known, her mother is an IT analyst and her father is a marine biologist. She has a younger brother, Oliver. Her mother is a lesbian and father is gay. Both Josephine Skriver and Oliver were conceived through IVF.
Skriver was discovered and approached about her modeling potential at the age of 15. This happened when she was on a trip to New York with her soccer team. Soon after, she was signed by an international modeling agency, Unique Models which is based in Copenhagen. Since, she was in the school so decided to wait for other modelling agencies outside Denmark. She was consequently approached by various modeling agencies in a short span of time. Skriver began pursuing a modeling career in 2011 after finishing her school.
CAREER:
- Skriver’s debut season was Fall/Winter 2011. Here she opened for Alberta Ferretti and closed for Prada. In the same season, she also walked for other prominent designers, like Calvin Klein, Gucci, Rag & Bone, Dolce & Gabbana, Yves Saint Laurent, Givenchy, Valentino, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, DKNY and Christian Dior.
- She has done many advertisement campaigns in her career for brands such as Dior, H&M, Gucci, Bulgari, DKNY, Balmain, Michael Kors, MAC Cosmetics, Karen Millen, Max Mara, Armani Exchange, Topten, Yves Saint Laurent Beauty, Tommy Hilfiger, Caleres, Tom Ford, Andrew Marc, G-Shock, ShuUemura, Victoria’s Secret and many more.
- She has been featured in cover page and editorials of numerous magazines such as V magazine, Marie Claire, Vanity Fair, Interview, W, L’Officiel, Vs., Allure, German, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Chinese, Australian, Spanish, Brazilian and American Vogue and Danish, Polish, Italian, Brazilian, Swedish, French Elle and British, Mexican, Arabian and American Harper’s Bazaar and many others.

- Since 2013, she has appeared in advertisements and catalogs for Victoria’s Secret and walked in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show for every consecutive year.
- In February 2016, it was declared that Skriver was one of the brand’s contracted Angels.
- Skriver was stated as the newest model for the 2020 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue on 22nd January, 2020.
PERSONAL LIFE:
Since 2013, Josephine Skriver has been in a relationship with American musician, Alexander DeLeon. In November 2018, they announced their engagement. Now, the couple lives together in Nashville, Tennessee. She is an enthusiastic fan of the NHL’s Nashville Predators and the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders. Many times, she has been spotted at their games as well.
